Extra-Ordinary showcase @ Los Patos - Paris
Extra-ordinary! was a takeover of Los Patos’ studio in Paris, bringing together a selection of personal work from a period when my practice was primarily focused on illustration.
The showcase combined works on paper with a small series of illustrations printed on circular acrylic panels. Geometric forms, abstract structures and different graphic elements come together in colourful, slightly absurd compositions, often suggesting objects or situations that could not quite exist.
Two large eyes — a recurring motif in my work at the time — were installed directly on the studio windows, turning the storefront into a face. Visible from the street, the intervention became part of the exhibition itself, catching the attention of neighbours and passers-by and creating a playful connection between the work inside and the street outside.
